In 2026, Ascenso Monarca is reaching new heights. As we expand our reach into middle-schools, high-schools, and universities, we are seeking passionate professionals to join us as Mentors. We rely on the experience, knowledge, and heart of our mentors to not only guide our youth but to serve as ambassadors—leaning on your leadership to help us recruit the next wave of mentors and mentees.
At Sueño Monarca, we use "Ascenso" to signify promotion, ascent, and growth within a community network. We connect immigrant youth and young professionals with mentors who have real-world experience in fields like beauty, mechanics, business, education, and more.

As an Ascenso Mentor, you are more than an advisor; you are a bridge to the professional world. Your role is to guide a young person (primarily 18–24) through the "Ascenso" standards—helping them refine their résumé, set professional goals, and navigate the transition into their chosen career or higher education.

Becoming a mentor is a structured but simple process to ensure the best fit for our youth:
Apply: Fill out a short mentor application here. (Takes less than 5 minutes!)
Interview: Meet with our team to discuss your experience, goals, and mentorship style.
Background & Reference Check: * A basic background check to ensure a safe mentoring environment.
A reference check to confirm experience and reliability.
Get Matched: We’ll pair you with a mentee who shares your career interests.

The commitment is flexible! We ask for a minimum of 10-12 weeks, with mentorship sessions tailored to your availability. We ask mentors to meet with their mentee at least once a week (virtually or in person).

As a Founding Mentor, we lean on your expertise to help us grow. We ask our mentors to act as Advocates—using your passion and professional networks to help us recruit new mentees and fellow mentors as we move into universities and youth agencies.
