Sueño Monarca had the great pleasure of hosting our 3rd annual Galentine’s fundraiser in collaboration with ALMAS Community, Illinois Workers in Action and Joliet Township Government. We were honored to create a safe space where our community members could come together and celebrate empowerment and friendship. This year, we celebrated the theme “Bonita, pero nunca calladita”. We invited an honored and distinguished leader and member of the Joliet community, Haydee Martinez-Rosales to welcome all for coming.

Calling all DREAMers, DACA recipients, and community members! Join this virtual listening party to center the lived experiences and real impacts of policies like the DREAM Act. It’s a space to come together, share insights, and be seen—because we are stronger in numbers.

This event is made possible through a collaboration between Illinois Workers in Action and Sueño Monarca.

We’ll be out at the Bolingbrook Community Defense Town Hall on February 18th from 6:00–8:00 PM, to support an important community conversation to share resources, learn your rights, and talk about how we can protect and support one another during this moment.

Join us for a free Spanish-language community workshop, "Rompiendo Barreras: Más Que Dinero, La Verdadera Riqueza Comienza Aquí," designed to give immigrant families a crucial toolkit for stability in the U.S. This session, featuring guest speaker Luz Aranda and experts from Edward Jones, U of Chicago Health, and Illinois Workers in Action (IWA), will cover the three pillars of true family security: financial planning, preventative health, and workplace dignity. In honor of reaching one full year of successful operations, Sueño Monarca hosted a thank-you brunch to recognize the vital contributions of our direct volunteers, mentors, and Board of Directors. This event served as a formal recognition of the commitment and hard work that fueled our mission throughout 2025. During the celebration, we honored standout individuals for their profound impact and welcomed the families of our leadership and volunteer teams to share in this collective achievement.

Sueño Monarca is proud to host Beyond Barriers: Funding Your College Education, your free, essential workshop for mastering the college financial process. Join us to learn about scholarship strategies, FAFSA navigation, and sustainable funding from our dynamic program team, ISAC and Marquez Financial Services. Light refreshments will be provided, and you'll connect with valuable community resources at our tabling session.
