Celebrate community and the power of chosen family!

Sueño Monarca had the great pleasure of hosting our 3rd annual Galentine’s fundraiser in collaboration with ALMAS Community, Illinois Workers in Action and Joliet Township Government. We were honored to create a safe space where our community members could come together and celebrate empowerment and friendship. This year, we celebrated the theme “Bonita, pero nunca calladita”. We invited an honored and distinguished leader and member of the Joliet community, Haydee Martinez-Rosales to welcome all for coming. Her service as an LPC and her history as a first-generation daughter is truly inspirational and her passion for nurturing the next gen is what makes us at Monarca proud to have her as our mentor and guest speaker.

Sueño Monarca strives to create platforms for our community members to feel secure in asking questions or speaking up and out against things that may affect them or their loved ones. Our mission stays strong in funneling our efforts into continuously reminding our community that silence or compliance is never more important than speaking your truth.
