ALMAS-AYAC "Our Voices, Our Minds: Immigration Through the Eyes of BIPOC Youth"

Our Voices, Our Minds is a youth-led initiative created by ALMAS in partnership with North Central College and local BIPOC youth. Each year, the program explores a theme centered on the lived experiences of BIPOC youth to foster dialogue, understanding, and healing.

This year’s theme, immigration and mental health, highlights the emotional, cultural, and systemic challenges faced by immigrant youth of color. The event features youth-led panels, expert discussions, and interactive activities that engage participants in meaningful and creative ways. Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the program offers language support and a welcoming space for all members of the community.
